Rise and Share licenses SHARE Good Software to Benefit Local Nonprofits
Rise and Share, a new NJ nonprofit founded during the pandemic in August of 2020, has licensed an interactive software from SHARE Good, LLC and will launch its first signature program, SHARE Middlesex by Rise and Share in the Fall of 2021.
Aa a nonprofit founded to support the needs of nonprofits, Rise and Share wanted a platform where nonprofits could be highlighted and benefit from shared marketing campaigns. SHARE Middlesex by Rise and Share will be the sixth SHARE Community in the U.S. and the first in the Northeast. Rise and Share will also have the benefit of participating in monthly SHARE Family calls and learn from other successful SHARE Communities.
Denise Zimmer, founding board member, stated “The SHARE Good software is a perfect fit for our purpose to pollinate generosity. This software will enable neighbors to easily interact with and support local nonprofits on a one-stop shop platform.”Rise and Share chose to offer this program to Middlesex County nonprofits due to two factors. Middlesex County has a strong vision for the future with its Destination 2040 Strategic Plan to shape how the County will grow and change in the future. However, there is no entity in Middlesex County solely focusing on the needs of the nonprofit organizations. “We want to unite the nonprofit sector to work together to create an ecosystem of philanthropy,” shared Michael Klidas, founding board member.
Marjorie Mass, CEO of SHARE Good, LLC, is excited to expand SHARE Communities to the Northeast and specifically New Jersey with the leadership of Rise and Share. Mass stated, “We welcome SHARE Middlesex by Rise and Share to our family and look forward to expanding our reach in New Jersey and beyond under the operations of Rise and Share. With their combined 100 years of nonprofit experience in fundraising, finance management, operations, and collaborative approaches to finding solutions, they are the right organization for us to partner with as SHARE Good, LLC matures as an organization.
Nonprofits can apply to create a profile easily on the Apply Button on the platform any time before or after the site launches in late Fall. Several webinars will be available to nonprofits to learn more about the SHARE Middlesex platform and how to create a profile, at no charge, to recruit donations of cash and goods as well as volunteers and to promote events for friend raisers and fundraisers.
